About National Council for Hotel Management
National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally regulates academics for B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration and other eleven structured courses of studies that are imparted at the existing 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 12 State Govt. Institutes of Hotel Management, 19 Private Institutes of Hotel Management affiliated with NCHMCT. Five Food Craft Institutes located in different parts in the country offer Diploma programs in specific operational area. All Institutes uniformly follow standardized course curricula prescribed by the Council for the different professional program.
Quality of education and training provided by the Institutes help students to emerge as professionally qualified personnel for hospitality and other allied service sectors. The Council has till date trained more than 45000 Hospitality Managers, Executives and other operational personnel. Its alumni from affiliated Institutes occupy key positions in hospitality industry as well as in teaching institutions both in India and abroad.
The Bachelor of Science program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered jointly by the National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Three-Year (Six Semesters) program equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The program also involves in depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skills standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping and providing managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.

To appear for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Exam a candidate must:
have passed Std. XII or other equivalent examination (with English as one of the compulsory subject in any academic or vocational stream Those who will appear for such examination in March 2012 are also provisionally eligible.
The Written Test will be of multiple-choice-objective type. There shall be one paper of 3 hrs duration and carrying 200 Questions.

Question paper will be bilingual i.e. in English & Hindi.
Note : (i) There shall be negative marking.
(ii) In case there is any change for DHM JEE 2012 we shall inform you and do the necessary changes in our course.

At the time of admission the student must submit:
Admission card duly filled in with Date of Birth, Postal address, Tel no. with std. Code, Mobile no. Incomplete forms shall not be accepted.
3PP size photographs.
Photo copy of Std .X mark listt
Fees amount either by cash or by cheque draw on a local bank in favour of Vidyasagar Classes.
Note: Admissions taken, shall be treated confirmed, subject to submission of above relevant documents at the time of admission.
Students/Parents shall abide by the following rules and regulations:
Fees and service tax, once paid, are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-adjustable under any circumstances, except in the cases mentioned in (d) below. The decision of the Management is final and no queries will be entertained under any circumstances.
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances including the reasons such as:
i Timings inconvenient
ii Shift of Venue
iii Does not want to continue due to unavoidable circumstance
iv Medical reasons
v Job Transfer of parents
Fees must be paid fully in advance before the course commencement and the management reserves the right of cancelling the admission for non fulfillment of the clause without assigning any reason.
The refund is possible only in the following circumstances: If Vidyasagar cancels the course/ venue after having announced the same, full fees received plus service tax, will be refunded.If the student, after having paid the fees, cancels the admission minimum 15 days prior to commencement of the course, the fees received will be refunded after deducting Rs1000/- towards administration charges and the entire amount of service tax. No refund will be granted, if the written request (no verbal communication) for cancellation of admission is received less than 15 days prior to the commencement of the course. (Note: Course commencement means the day when I-cards and study material is distributed.)
