Over the last few years, medical education in India has seen a major change, with major emphasis now on specialization and super specialization. Thus, climbing this steep ladder of success has become complicated and tough then even before. But as there is an old saying that “Every cloud has a silver lining” similarly, the opportunities for medical aspirants have multiplied.
The management of a patient that was earlier handled singly by the general practitioner now a day is divided amongst posses of specialists and with far better results. Thus, the need for specialization is inevitable for a medical graduate who seeks to carve a niche for himself in this profession.
Getting a PG seat (MD/MS/Diploma) in a reputed medical college in India is a major task for all MBBS graduates. It ideally needs:
Dedicated effort
Precise and accurate study material
A focus on quality rather than quantity
Evaluation & Corrective feedback.
Without going into debate, the actual need of getting coached arises from the fact that today a medical graduate is facing so much distraction in daily academic and personal life that the required focused attention for entrance exam preparation needs a certain kind of serious outsourcing to keep up with the growing competition. Ultimately, student himself/herself has to put in all the efforts and certainly his/her academic background matters. Thus, all said and done, coaching acts as a helping hand. It cannot become a substitute for actual personal efforts to be taken by students. Coaching thus becomes essential due to:
Limited time : Because of hospital duty during internship and other commitments after internship, the available time for PG preparation is much less than required. Inability to get a rank or good rank at PG entrance test at very first attempt, results in additional delay.
Changing Examination Trends : Students are appearing in many entrance exams with different pattern of each exam. Though the syllabus remains same, specific preparation for each exam is a must to get through with decent rank.
Learning alternatives : Existing learning alternatives (like MCQ books & Guides) are deficient in
many ways, such as:
a) Unusually high printing and technical / academic errors
b) False sense of security, which prevails after reading only MCQs
c) No active feedback mechanism
d) Lack of focused approach on important topics
Immediate corrective feedback : To know "where I am wrong" is an important preparation input, which is only available with professional coaching. It is obvious that timely rectification of mistakes will fetch good results and in your case it means improved rank.
Competition : Every year app. 50000 MBBS graduates are appearing in AIPGE exam for much fewer PG seats across India. It rules out any casual and experimental approach in preparation. Very similar scene is seen with state PG entrance exams as well.
In a competitive environment, Vidyasagar Panacea provides niche and specialized coaching programs
for various PG Entrance Exams through classroom teachings and correspondence courses. We
develop and provide high-precision study material and MCQs of superior quality. This is the result of the
concentrated efforts of our academic team supported by intensive research inputs tailor-made to specific
requirement of entrance examinations. Personalized response to students' difficulties and online
support with regular updates at www.vidyasagar.com ensure active participation.
Our extraordinary results are a testimony of our coaching programs.Check out www.vidyasagar.com for our latest results update. Enter Vidyasagar Panacea … With a passion for excellence in PG Entrance.
In order to suit your requirements, we offer following program options to MBBS graduates. These programs are suitable for those aspiring to appear in MD / MS / DNB entrance exams scheduled during 2010 and first half of year 2011.
In the plethora of PG entrance exams, the only saving grace is that the Basic syllabus more or less remains same in all the exams i.e. MBBS syllabus. This is an extremely important fact to be known. Because preparation thus remains same and one can appear in various exams as per the eligibility and interest. In our coaching options as well, we have taken this fact into consideration and thus one can go ahead with any of the program as per his/her choice. Admissions are given on first come first served basis.
