Selection to premium engineering and medical colleges is primarily a process of exclusion and filtration with only the top 2% of the students getting admitted. It is therefore a foregone conclusion that only the most academically well prepared candidate will succeed.
Preparation for MCQ based examination is often given secondary priority during the 2 years of junior college. Most coaching classes focus only on the Std XI and Std XII syllabus and exam pattern. This results inadequate practice and mastery of the MCQ format. This is the major reason why many students who do well at HSC/Std XII exams don’t do well at the MHT-CET.
Mastery of the MHT-CET format requires repeated testing of the topics in a cumulative manner in actual examination conditions. This repeated testing needs a dedicated approach which is not possible during the rigours of the Std XII academic year.
Success at the MHT-CET requires mastery of required knowledge (which requires last minute brush-up), time management and test-taking skills (which need more and more practice) and exam stress management attitude. This environment can be provided in a professional coaching environment.
Students often feel that there is still enough time after Std XII, so there is no need to worry. This false sense of well-being can prove the undoing of the most committed and academically proficient student.
Vidyasagar’s approach: Answering subjective type questions, as in Board Exam, requires recalling of relevant information. Responding to objective type questions within a short duration, with odds heavily against, needs effective coaching.
Reinforcement of conceptual knowledge gained during the preparation of Board Examination coupled with the attainment of optimum speed for accurately solving multiple choice questions call for an intensive program.
The Crash course, offered by Vidyasagar Classes, with intensive coaching and continuous testing activates the student minds and make them ready for the actual MHT-CET.
Printed study material in the form of lessons shall be given. Each lesson shall consist of:
Theory Synopsis, which will help you revise your concepts Solved Examples on each sub topics showing you how to solve MCQ's Important formulas, Points to remember, Review questions at the end of topics to help you recall what you learned Charts/Table in the form of handbooks for easy references, Exercises as homework for practices, Crossword Puzzles to test your conceptual understanding.
During the course we shall train to solve MCQ's speedily and accurately. This shall be done through our testing methodology:
Topic wise Tests: For each topic, a short test consisting of 30 – 40 MCQs shall be conducted during the session. As per the highly effective and successful coaching methodology introduced by us, students will be exposed to 80-90 topic wise tests during the programme.
Cumulative tests: There shall be 2 such tests conducted on entire syllabus. These tests shall be as per CET pattern (3 hrs, 200 MCQs for PCB / 150 MCQs for PCM).
Model Tests: 7 Model tests on MHT-CET pattern based upon entire syllabus shall be conducted.
| Date | Test Name |

| 01/04/2012 | Cumulative Test-1 |

These tests will help in self assessment and further interaction with acclaimed faculty, conversant with the minute details of their respective subjects will iron out their unnoticed flaws and stretch them beyond their limits. Being very intensive course it is mandatory that a student should have done some basic preparation for CET.
Since the final rank in any entrance examination is based on relative performance of the students, we take extra care to inform the students about the same.
The Analysis Report we give to the student after the tests, incorporate a wide range of pertinent information, which, when effectively utilized can be a turning point for their future. It not only informs you your personal score, also gives highest, lowest and average marks obtained by students in that particular test, the topics where you did not perform well and require extra efforts. The most important information is your rank in the state, enabling you to benchmark your performance relative to others and get clear idea of the actual rank to be expected at the MHT-CET.
To support you additionally apart from classroom teaching, you can access on internet on our website www.vidyasagar.com under student zone. Here we will be uploading some graphics animations on Physics, Chemistry and Biology to enhance your learning skills.
Based on the memory of our students who appeared for MHT-CET exams, we have collected the questions. This shall give you exact idea about the type and difficulty wise MHT-CET questions. Last 3 years of MHT-CET, 2009, 2010, 2011 papers (memory based) with answer key shall be given.
| (i) | From Students: Periodic feedback will be elicited from each student.
This feedback will be acted upon as soon as possible to create dynamic improvement in program delivery. |
| (ii) | To Students / Parents: Feedback with comparative rankings of performance in full pattern tests will be sent to the parents after 4 - 5 test are conducted. This will help you to analyse the performance. |
