Till date, admissions to Government & Municipal Medical & Engineering Colleges are through MHT-CET (Maharashtra Health & Technical Common Entrance Test) conducted by DMER (Directorate of Medical Education & Research). The syllabus for this Entrance Exam (MHT-CET) is Maharashtra State Board Std XII syllabus only. Admissions for Private Medical Colleges is through a separate Entrance called Associate CET.
As per Supreme Court ruling in 2010, Medical Council of India, shall conduct from 2012 a Single Common Entrance Exam for admission to all Government, Municipal, & Private medical colleges including, AIIMS, AFMC, etc. (those conducting separate All India Entrance Exam for admissions to their Colleges).
According to HRD ministry, they also plan to conduct a single All India Common Entrance Exam for all Engineering Colleges across India from 2013. This shall include All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE), State Entrances & other Private College Entrance Exams and also IIT-JEE .
Students appearing for Std. XII science in the year 2013 shall have common syllabus throughout India. i.e. students entering Std. XI science from academic year 2011-2012. The New syllabus for Std. XI & XII Science is much wider & indepth as compared to current Maharashtra State Board Syllabus for Std. XI & XII.
With Govt. planning to have a Single Common Entrance Exam for both Medical & Engineering Colleges it is inevitable that Std. XII 2013 appearing could be the 1st batch of students to appear for these Entrance Exams and their admissions to professional courses like Medical, Engineering will solely depend upon New Single Entrance Exams being introduced. Therefore, it is imperative to concentrate on the preparation for All India Entrance Exams only.
With the syllabus of the Board & All India Entrance being more or less same, the preparation for All India Entrance Exams will automatically prepare students for Std. XII Board Exams to secure the marks required to qualify for these Entrance Exams.Medical & Engineering Entrance is months away!
Why prepare now? is a temptation that lures even the most ardent student. But deep down you know the difference between systematic coaching over a prolonged period and a hurried exercise at the eleventh hour.!
Vidyasagar’s 2 year course is planned and designed for aspiring students with nerve, commitment and an ambition to make it to Medical & Engineering entrance 2013.
Since the competition is becoming fierce, the one who start earlier would always go ahead of others. The course lays a lot of emphasis on the conceptual aspects and requires intensive study and hard work. The early completion of the course with depth and integrity, regular tests and evaluation give Vidyasagar students an edge over others. Since the course involves a regular contact spread over two years, the success rate of students following the course is vey high.
It is divided in the form of lessons, in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Each lesson contains brief synopsis of theory, definitions and formulae, followed by examples to be solved in the class and exercises to be done by students.
A two year program which consists of a weekly schedule of approximately 15-20 hrs which includes minimum 12-15 hrs of coaching and 3-5 hrs of testing.
