Dear Parents,

Let me extend a warm welcome to you.

As Vidyasagar enters its 25th year, I have mixed feelings. There is a sense of awe and an experience of joy that the activity which started modestly in 1985 has grown into an Institution of reckoning in the coaching fraternity. There is simultaneously a feeling of nostalgia about the Vidyasagar of the past, all the people and opportunities which shaped the growth of this company.

While reminiscences are all fine, the onerous task of running an educational company with 10,000 students, 250 associated teachers, and more than 25 coaching programs across more than 30 branches and test centers can be daunting. It needs hard effort, well synchronized team work and unflinching constancy of purpose, not to mention systems and processes. I wish the new management team all the best.

Amidst a coaching industry which is rapidly changing in terms of newer business models and competitive realities, some things should never change. The genuine concern which wells up in the heart while counseling a parent/student, the bonding experienced while meeting old teachers.

Your wards, our students are attempting to create a career through academic excellence aspiring to get ahead, to get a competitive advantage in a future with unseen challenges.

Letter from Managing Director

Dear Student,

As I welcome you to Vidyasagar, it gives me immense satisfaction to say ‘We teach success’.

It is a truism that every single year of our existence has produced several rankers who have redefined academic success. In our 25th year, the meanings of success for our student have evolved for us. Should a mere high rank in a competitive entrance exam be construed as a measure of success for our students? How effortlessly, skillfully and profitably our student straddles his/her future may be a better measure of success. That would require a one-minded focus on getting a seat of choice in the professional college, for starters. But a successful career is much more than academic excellence. Disciplined effort in the professional domain, high level of interpersonal competence and careful planning for the future will be necessary. For tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. May this not be forgotten.

Somebody once said, ‘ the best way to predict the future is to invent it’. This is an empowering way to look at the future for a company which is all of 25 years, and raring to go. These are exciting times to be in the coaching industry when several paradigms are being redefined and opportunities abound.

Vidyasagar has been and will continue to serve the student community, both local and national through innovative coaching programs with a clear accent on quality. We are proud of our legacy.
