About Vidyasagar

The name Vidyasagar Classes has been associated with high coaching programs for established and emerging competitive entrance exams of high quality.

Our journey started in 1985, when we started coaching programs for IIT Entrance, the first one of its kind that time in Mumbai. The very first batch created rankers and spurred us on to date. This tradition of successful performance of our students continues uninterrupted.

All India PMT was the next bastion, as it were, in 1987 and Vidyasagar introduced the Crash Course (Intensive Course) format successfully which became the industry benchmark. Never before had the vacation between Std. XII exams and the date of the PMT for students in Maharashtra been so creatively and productively utilized. We were rewarded, once again, by sterling performance of our students in exams.

Buoyed by increasing student number, we established a presence in the MBA entrance segment by introducing coaching programs for MBA-CET and IIM-CAT. However internal restructuring of our coaching programs focusing on our core competence competitive entrance for science stream resulted in discontinuation of these programs.

However coaching programs for Hotel Management Degree entrance (DHM-JEE) started in 1996 are still going strong. Many of our DHM-JEE alumni occupy pride of place in various sectors of the hospitality Industry.

In 1998, the importance of PCB marks to secure a medical seat ended, as the Maharashtra State Government announced a common entrance test to determine admissions for the same. In this time of unclarity and transition, Vidyasagar, true to its tradition held several facts-finding seminars which helped in a great degree to dispel the confusion prevalent in minds of students and parents, We pioneered coaching programs for MH-CET and introduce innovative regular classroom and correspondence courses for this exam which became trend-setters and continue to be very popular all over Maharashtra and very effective in producing rankers year after year.

Also in 1997, we created a coaching program for MBBS doctors struggling to secure a postgraduate seat through All India and State PG Entrance under a separate division.-Vidyasagar Panacea. This coaching program offered to classroom students (at Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Kolhapur, Nagpur) and correspondence students all over all over India is appropriately christened Regimen (meaning intensive treatment protocol) This was the beginning of Vidyasagar developing an enduring reputation in the community of doctors and healthcare professional.

In 2004, with the announcement of Entrance Examination for Engineering by Government of Maharashtra, we launched on our coaching programs for CET Engineering, and also coaching program for All India Engineering Exam.(AIEEE)

From 2006, Vidyasagar established VIGS (Vidyasagar Institute of Genetic Studies). Which conducts traning programs in Medical Genetics. These programs promise to be launch-pad for doctors/lab professionals contemplating a career in Genetics.

Since 2009, we have started special Foundation Program for Std. XIII & IX School students based on CBSE / ISCE / IB curricula. These are aimed at creating awareness and competency about competitive entrance exam during School and Pre-university years these includes Maths, Science, Olympiads, NTSE, AIEEE, AIPMT, IIT-JEE.

We are knowledge workers. Informing, educating and motivating the student community has been our constant endeavor and the potentiality hidden in each student our ultimate inspiration.

As of 2009, we are catering to approximately 9500 students & our success will be seen on next thousands of smiling faces.
